This weekend I went to GIG (Gathering in the Grove). It is basically a glorified EFY (Especially for Youth). It started Friday with late-night baptisms for the dead. Normally the last session is around 8pm but the Temple President arranged it so that we could do baptisms for the dead at 10:30pm and one session at 12:00am. Saturday we helped pick up dead branches along the Erie Canal in Newark, New York I got a free water-bottle, lanyard, and FRISBEE for it! Then we went to the Palmyra Stake Center for workshops and lunch. Sunday I went to Sacrament Meeting and sang in the choir. After that I spent the rest of the day with my new friend Kaitlyn, my old friends Stephen and Angel, as well as the Missionaries. We went to the Hill Cumorah Visitor’s Center, and then took a trip over to the Sacred Grove.
