If you know me then you know how much I enjoy being outside. The smell, the sound, and even the feeling of dirt in my hands brings a sort of comfort that I cannot find anywhere else. Sometimes I say that I wish I could live outside all summer long eating tomatoes and gardening, so it is no wonder why I loved this past weekend. Carly, Isaac, and I went to a park about an hour away from Rochester called Watkins Glen. Looking at it you can only think about how beautiful it is with its clear waterfalls and smoothly carved riverbeds. On days like that I am so grateful to our Heavenly Father for the beautiful creations he has provided for us.

I love campfires because they are even more hypnotic to watch than waterfalls, especially when all that is left are the embers softly glowing. So roasting marshmallows is a great way to end a day like this one.
