So I do not believe I ever posted the fact that this semester is my last one possibly ever. Beside the fact that I have a recital to prepare, I also have the lead in the Eastman Spring Opera Manon. The show itself takes about two and a half hours to perform with 5 Acts all together. Let's just say I have my work cut out for me, and I am being stretched in ways I never expected. The main reason I took the role was because of the fact that it is in French which is my weakest language as far as diction goes, the other reason being that the music is AMAZING to listen to and to sing. As much as I hate the process of learning music (it gets quite frustrating when you can see a note or a rhythm but you cannot produce the sound to match) the end result is what I look forward to, there is something so gratifying when it comes to singing opera, maybe because it is glorified screaming.
My life is consumed by this music... and yes, I took a picture of myself.
Pray that I will be able to have this thing memorized in time!
