.Long Laugh # 1- It was pretty funny because when I got to his apartment and he opened the door he was much younger than I had imagined, so today I got online to look him up again because I had thought he had worked with Victoria de los Angeles (1923-2005) after I found a recording with his name next to hers... I had to laugh when I realized that there were two Gerald Moores in the music industry, one 1899-1987 who was a famous accompanist, and then my guy who is a famous coach. Needless to say I had a good laugh at myself this morning and realized that there was a reason he went by Gerald Martin Moore. I think someday when I have children I will make sure they have a middle name just in case they decide to go down the same career path as someone with the same first and last name.

Long Laugh #2- I was so nervous to work with him because I knew that he was a well sought after coach who had worked with who knows how many singers, one being non other than my fellow Eastman alumni Renee Fleming aka "the people's diva" aka one of the best sopranos of the day. As it turned out, I had a fantastic time, and I now understand why he is so sought after, he addressed things that I had been concerned about but that no one else had mentioned as being problematic. I left with a plethora of things to work on, and to top it all off, he said he would like to work with me again in the fall. So it looks like I will definitely be saving my pennies. I was elated and laughing to myself wondering why I had been nervous. Next on my list of things to do... my Good-pie Party.
