This dear friends is a before picture, a picture taken close to the day I found out I got into Eastman. Yes you're very observant, I am already wearing a T-shirt purchased from the Eastman bookstore months before I even applied for school. I wanted in so bad and somehow it happened.
Graduation= success-fully completing my goals. Strange thing is that each time I graduate it gets better and better. I thought that it would be boring after graduating pre-school, kindergarten, high-school, and one bachelors degree, but low and behold I enjoyed this one most of all. Maybe it was walking across Eastman Kodak Hall's stage one last time, maybe it was Dean Lowry's talk, or maybe it was the little piece of paper given to me that cost the same amount as my Chevy Aveo... x 10!!!
Who would have known where these two feet would
take me? As a child I said I wanted to go to Library College, when it came time I didn't know if I even wanted to study music. The Lord made it easy through a gentle reminder, and I was off. He gave me a teacher that knew what she was doing, and who could see much further down the path than I could. He gave me parents who with enthusiasm always encouraged me to keep moving ahead. He gave me siblings who lovingly (and sometimes grudgingly) would listen to me sing, while keeping me entertained with late-night photo shoots, conversations, and video games. He gave me friends that had "been there, done that," as well as friends who are "going there, doing that." He gave me callings that s t r e t c h e d my capacity to love and communicate with others. He gave me a life, that as of right now... I wouldn't exchange for anything. So here is a brief recap of my two year path at Eastman
Nick, Clara, Rebecca, and me before the Spring 2010 Opera Gala
Erin G. and me before the FEO competition

Spring 2011 production of the opera Manon
Ma and Pa Rochester aka Brother and Sister Jones. I owe a lot of my peace of mind to these two
people for letting me come to their home nearly every day for the past year, and then letting me move into their home for my final stretch. Not to mention feeding me, and coming to my performances, I was so lucky to find this family, and I know my family is thankful I did.
Carly not only writes really good stories but she draws really good pictures full of awe and wonder... This is a picture she drew of my graduation as it was happening... AMAZING!

Emily, and Carly. What else can I say except that without them I would have been quite lonely this past year. They both took part in the production of "Alyssa: The Story of a Girl Who Needed to Grow Up" Maybe someday when Carly writes my biography for me that can be the title (hint hint).

Meet the Professor... well you already have seen a picture of her from my recital but this shot is a bit clearer. I was able to learn a lot from her, at first I didn't know what to expect because I had already studied with her sister, my o my she was different. Instead of pushing me to my limits she allowed me to figure out how to push myself, something that we all need to learn.

I'm not gonna lie I am scared spit-less when it comes to what I will do next
Turning right onto a long, probably hard, but hopefully fun new one.
